Friday Night wasn’t my typical Friday night with several Bibles laid across my bed with one or three of my journals alongside my laptop. Things were off and have been for a few weeks. I thought to myself, “Why am I not taking the time to study the Bible like I used to?” and then the Holy Spirit responded, “Read Psalm 28”.
I immediately opened my Bible app and began to read:
1 To you, Lord, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit. 2 Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most High Place. 3 Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts. 8 The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. 9 Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them FOREVER! Psalm 28 : 1-3 and 8-9
I felt a bit better after that and I was able to get some rest. But don’t you know the Holy Spirit put this song on my heart as I began to wake up Sabbath morning, April 26th. I searched it on Spotify and put it on “heavy rotation” I mean repeat.
Kim Burrell ~ I Come to You More Than I Give

This song spoke to me by telling me, that I need to be intentional with my studies and give the Lord his time…the time he deserves! I can give everything else time which impedes on GOD’S TIME. Henceforth, I am reclaiming my time with the Lord. I need to get to a point where I give more than I ask for assistance. I’m going to be intentional about giving gratitude this week. He deserves it. For us to be able to live in this economy is nothing but God and he deserves all the GLORY HONOR and PRAISE!
