Virtue – behavior showing high moral standards

Moral –  (adj) concerned with the principles of right and wrong and the goodness or badness of human character

Standard – (noun) a level of quality or attainment

For the last week the song, “Put Your War Clothes On” by Virtue has been heavy on my heart (mind). I wake up, open my Bible app to read my devotion and then read the verse of the day. As soon as I close my app here comes Virtue singing…

“GET UP PUT YOUR WAR CLOTHES ON. Take back everything God gave to you.”

I created a reel 6 days ago showing me at the beach in my Child of God t-shirt (Jamaica edition), while working at the beach. Although, I stated that I had my war clothes on and I did! However, this song is not speaking of actual clothing.

“We’re gonna win this fight we’re in cuz the weapons that we’re gonna use are not carnal.”

Carnal (adj) relating to physical or relating to things of the flesh including earthly materials.

“Not made from man but mighty through the masters hand. Everybody’s gonna know who is in command.

READY, AIM FIRE

In Jesus name we’re gonna go higher

You better get dressed to face the enemy!”

How can one face an enemy without protection, without the proper gear?  I mean, if you want to win the fight, you’re gonna go in prepared and equipped to face the enemy at hand, correct?  So why would one not arm themselves with their WAR CLOTHES? The Bible, prayer and supplication are your war clothes. Your WAR CLOTHES have NOTHING to do with carnal or manmade equipment or tools but SPIRITUAL equipment…your Bible, your relationship with YAH (Jesus) and prayer. If you aren’t making a concerted effort to dive into the word of God on a daily basis there is no way that you’ll be able to face the enemy…you won’t win…he WILL!

We already have the victory. For the mighty hand of God Almighty made us free

YOU BETTER GET DRESSED TO FACE THE ENEMY

GET UP PUT YOUR WAR CLOTHES ON”

I challenge you to begin making a concerted effort to intentionally PUT YOUR WAR CLOTHES ON daily and watch how GOD APPLIES PRESSURE ON YOUR BEHALF!  You can’t win the good fight without Him by your side.  I promise you, including GOD in EVERYTHING you do…works!!!
