Last Sabbath, my significant and I decided to watch a movie. We surfed through several videos and finally came across one that looked fairly interesting.
“40 The Temptation of Christ“
Can you imagine being tempted for 40 days straight? Well, we have been tempted each and every day of our lives but some of us don’t realize it.
This movie depicts the 40 days of temptation in a manner that I have never seen nor thought about. Although, I know it to be true but NOT during the temptation of Christ.
Yeshua’s (Jesus) faith in His Father was magnificent and unwavering through all of the temptations; all while knowing that His Father could easily rescue Him. However, Yeshua (Jesus) had taken on the sins of the world and as a result, he had to endure the suffering.
He suffered for ALL of mankind, including those that didn’t even exist yet. His sacrifice covered multitudes of people and sins. A PERFECT being took on the burden of covering the sins of people that don’t even believe in Him. What a mighty SAVIOR!
This movie did not depict your usual 40 days of temptation in the wilderness with satan, NO! This movie depicts the 40 days in such a manner that makes sense and shows how we are tempted, on a daily basis.
satan is always depicted as super wicked and cunning with an unpleasant appearance. However, this cast director (maybe that’s the incorrect term but you know what I mean) did not choose the most handsome character to play satan but he wasn’t exactly ugly either.
What kept me locked into the movie were the conversations Yeshua had with His Father (Heavenly and earthly) and satan. These conversations felt rather modern and realistic, although He spoke using scripture.
I don’t want to give a spoiler because you have to watch it. So, please watch the movie, it is free on YouTube and the link will be at the end of this blog. Please watch it and then come back here to tell me what you thought.
One last thing, there is a particular framing or particular shots they use throughout the movie that just captivated me. Watch for the scenes where the sun rays bounce off the lens, its so beautiful. I don’t even know if those are the correct terms but YEAH!
Here is the link for the movie. Do watch and come back to tell me what you think! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8ideYCRie0
Be Blessed on this day and every day!
I love you all!
