Love, Laughter, Loyalty and Loss = Ls in life

Sunrise 7:20am

Day 110 – January 17, 2026 | Faithivity Challenge

Routine – a set of customary or unchanging and often mechanically performed activities or procedures

Every morning, I take my grand-dog out to handle his business, as it is routine. Some days, he goes quickly and other days he lingers. Today was one of those lingering days.

We walked up the street he check all of his usual “dump” spots, yet nothing! I get frustrated at times due to the cold weather and this morning it was sleeting! Nonetheless, he wasn’t quite ready to release hisself. ANNOYED!!!

After approximately 20 minutes of begging him to poop and singing a poop song; I decided to head back home. However, on the way I figured we would try one last time. As we headed toward his other “dump” spot closer to our house 🤦🏽‍♀️ this guy notices a rabbit and loses his mind and takes off running. Thankfully, I had a good grip of his leash cuz he surely would’ve been running in the woods searching for “Peter Cottontail” 🐇 LOL.

He completely lost his focus 🤦🏽‍♀️, not sure he really had focus in the first place cuz why hasn’t this guy taken a dump yet? Will it be possible for me to redirect his attention to taking a dump?

I kept repeating “poop, poop, GO POOP! It’s cold out here! Please go Poop, I know you have to go!”

SUDDENLY…

My attention was diverted toward the eastern sky, as the sun was moving toward the west. I quickly stopped fussing and being frustrated with the grand-dog, for being stubborn and not handling his business so I could rush back inside.

PAUSE

Had he not paused or rather refused to handle his business, I wouldn’t have seen YAH’S glory. The way the sunrise, in its pinkish orange essence was blessing the horizon was a gift just for me.

I took that time to bask in the blessing of the sunrise YAH placed in front of me at that very moment. Although, I was freezing cold and wanted to be back inside and warm, there was a blessing in the PAUSE.

What a beautiful way to wake up on the Sabbath Day, albeit freezing outside, that sunrise warmed my heart and soul in a way that the heat in my house COULD NEVER!

Thank you YAH, once again for the blessing of PAUSE!

🙏🏽

I love you
